In the Beginning:
About us. William R Bostedo (Bill) is the owner and Chief Appraiser of Bostedo Appraisal Services. As a lifelong Southwestern Pennsylvania native, Mr. Bostedo has spent just about his entire career involved in one way or another with Real Estate. At the beginning of his career, he was involved in the building trades as an electrician and then switched gears to learn the legal and transactional aspects of Real Estate by obtaining his Real Estate sales license in 1983.
Bill’s sales career was highlighted with not only learning many of the nuances within the Real Estate transactions and legalities but also being trusted due to his integrity and knowledge with office management. In 1988 Mr. Bostedo made another career move by moving deeper within the Real Estate Industry into a more specialized field and started to train in the Real Estate Appraisal Field.
The Growing Years:
Prior to the 1987 “Savings & Loan Crisis”, appraisers within the US did not need to be Certified. However, in Pennsylvania, the State realized that there needed to be a much higher degree of experience and knowledge. That lead to Pennsylvania Law that stated a Real Estate Appraiser needed to have a Real Estate Broker’s license to Appraise property within the Commonwealth. It was 1990 after a 2-year apprenticeship Mr. Bostedo obtained his Brokers License and began appraising for a local Appraisal firm which at the time had a 5 County service area.
Bill quickly was promoted to Chief Appraiser within the firm leading other appraisers, managing the office while inspecting and preparing his own appraisal reports. It was 7 years later in 1997, 14 years after first being licensed as a Real Estate Agent he founded Bostedo Appraisal Services. The business has enjoyed growth over the years due to a steadily growing client base which has been obtained mainly by referrals. During the last financial crisis when most appraisers were downsizing and/or leaving the business altogether he found that his attention to detail and professionalism kept the business strong and in 2009 Bostedo Appraisal Services was able to bring on additional staff to the firm.

Bostedo Appraisal Services strives to adhere to the highest standards in quality and ethical policies in the industry. All of our reporting complies with the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) and all applicable state laws. Our motto is “Offering QUICK turnaround with QUALITY services”.
Our superior appraisal tools help us to promote the added development of our appraisers by keeping the latest technology along with the latest company updates available to our team. In the long run, this is then passed along to aid you, our client with a reliable, defendable appraisal report backed by expert knowledge and extensive experience.
Team Bio:
William R. Bostedo, RAA GRI – Owner & Chief Valuation Officer:
Mr. Bostedo has a strong knowledge associated with a long career within the Real Estate Industry. This knowledge and tenure brings to the table the added expertise not commonly found in most appraisers. It is this knowledge he shares on a daily basis in not only the appraisal reports that he may prepare but is also passed on to the entire appraisal team.
Residential Division
Amy Edelmann – Chief Residential Appraiser:
Amy has been in the Real Estate Industry since 1986. Starting in sales Amy then moved into the appraisal field in the 90’s and had a strategic office role in the firm where she was employed. It was in the early 2000’s she started training in the appraisal field full time preparing to sit for her Pennsylvania State Certification. Amy brings a strong and knowledgeable Real Estate background to the firm and to the reports she prepares for our clients.
Commercial Division
Ron Benson – Chief Commercial Appraiser:
Ron Beson joined Bostedo Appraisal Services in 2016. Ron has been in the Real Estate Industry since 1984 and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our commercial clients. Along with heading up our commercial staff, Ron has had experience as a Senior Analyst of the Quality Assurance Group of a major Appraisal Management Corporation responsible for the review of appraisals Nationwide and has extensive experience with residential, commercial and mixed- use properties, including schools, hotels, apartment complexes, industrial facilities, public-use buildings, agricultural properties and medical offices. His assignments routinely involve complex issues appraising proposed facilities from architectural and engineering drawings.
Residential and Commercial Executive Assistants
Paige Bostedo – Executive Assistant
Paige Bostedo will be joining the team at Bostedo Appraisal Services and will bring extensive experience in not only Business Education but additionally Managerial Experience, Marketing, Sales and Customer Service. She will be in the forefront of the business directly assisting the Chief Appraisers’ by keeping the business running smoothly and efficiently while managing the additional support staff in their day to day duties.
Residential and Commercial Assistants
Jessa Molina – Office Assistant:
Jessa Molina joined Bostedo Appraisal Services in 2013 as an independent contractor doing data entry, social media, and marketing. Jessa has a bachelor degree in IT but she has also worked as a Marketing Representative and as a customer service representative. Jessa helps to make our appraisers more efficient by taking over tasks that would otherwise distract from the goal of a quality appraisal product.
Tasneem Kadiwala – Office Assistant:
Tasneem Kadiwala joined the team at Bostedo Appraisal Services in 2015 as an independent contractor helping with data entry, research and customer support. Tasneem has been the head of HR in a major corporation and we are glad to have her lend her talents and expertise to our team. Tasneem helps to make our appraisers more efficient by taking over tasks that would otherwise distract from the goal of a quality appraisal product.
